Dr. Ganesh Kondabattula is a distinguished veterinary scientist with over 35 years of rich R&D experience, primarily at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (ICAR-IVRI). As a former Principal Scientist, he has made foundational contributions to microbiology, vaccine development, and biologicals — particularly in Foot-and-Mouth Disease immunology and quality assurance.
His career spans IVRI Mukteswar, Izatnagar, and Bangalore; Veterinary College UAS Bidar; Veterinary College Anand; and The Pirbright Institute, United Kingdom, where he received postdoctoral training in Bovine Dendritic Cells and Immunology.
A builder of scientific infrastructure, Dr. Ganesh established the UG Microbiology Lab at Veterinary College Bidar, the Monoclonal Antibody Laboratory at IVRI Izatnagar, the RP&AD Lab at IVRI Mukteswar, and the QC & QA Laboratory for FMD vaccines at IVRI Bengaluru. He has published 42 national and international research papers, written 4 reference book chapters, and applied for a patent.
